.SH DESCRIPTION
.I Wol
sends a magic wake-on-lan Ethernet packet to
.IR dialstr
(default
.BR udp!255.255.255.255!0 ,
the IPv4 broadcast address),
intended to wake up the machine with an Ethernet interface with the MAC
address
.IR macaddr .
.I Macaddr
is not used to route the packet, but is inserted into the magic packet
as required by the wake-on-lan protocol.

An optional
.I password
of at most six bytes can be sent.
The option
.B -v
prints verbose information about the packet sent.
